Republic Day Celebration Report
The Republic Day celebration at DAV Public School, Gole Market, was held on 25th January 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event began with the March Past, showcasing students’ discipline, followed by the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, where the National Anthem, ‘Jana Gana Mana,’ filled the air with pride. The Principal and Chief Guest, Mrs. Suneeta Arora, was warmly welcomed with a bouquet by the teacher-in-charge, Mrs. Vandana Mehra. In her inspiring speech, Mrs. Arora highlighted the significance of Republic Day and elaborated on this year’s theme, ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’ (Golden India: Heritage and Progress), encouraging everyone to preserve the nation’s heritage while contributing to its development. After her speech, the programme gained momentum with a melodious patriotic song, performed by a group of talented students, filling the audience with pride and devotion. The cultural programme continued with a lively and energetic dance performance by the primary students, showcasing the vibrant spirit of patriotism. Following this, Abhimanyu of Class 3-B recited a heartfelt poem, which resonated with the emotions of everyone present. The event further included an engaging mono-acting performance on elections by Shivansh of Class 6, which creatively highlighted the importance of democracy. This was followed by inspiring speech delivered by Divyansh of Class IV-A and Mayra of Class VI, celebrating the strength and unity of our great nation. Next, Garvi of Class IV-B recited a soulful Hindi poem, ‘Mera Bharat Desh,’ beautifully portraying the love and pride for our motherland. The stage then came alive with a graceful Odissi dance performance, which mesmerized the audience with its elegance and cultural richness. An interactive quiz on the Constitution of India followed, engaging the students and reinforcing the democratic values that guide our nation. The event concluded with the singing of the DAV Gaan, leaving everyone inspired and filled with a sense of national pride and responsibility.
