Report on Independence Day Programme 2024

The 78th Independence Day of our nation was celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm at DAV Public School, Gole Market, on 14th August 2024. The program was a blend of patriotic fervor, cultural performances, and ceremonial duties that left a lasting impact on all attendees. The day began with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, where the national flag was unfurled by our Honourable Chief Guest, Mrs. S. Chandla, accompanied by Principal Ma’am and Guests of Honour. As the flag soared high, the National Anthem resonated across the campus, filling everyone with a deep sense of pride and patriotism. Following the flag hoisting, a warm welcome was extended to the dignitaries present. Mrs. S. Chandla, a distinguished educationist, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour included Mrs. Anita Kumari, a respected officer from the Delhi Police, and Mr. Ranjit Kumar Mishra, an officer from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Their presence and contributions to the nation were acknowledged with deep respect and gratitude. Our Principal Ma’am delivered a heartfelt address, reflecting on the significance of Independence Day and the responsibilities that come with freedom. Her words inspired the students to cherish their independence and work towards the betterment of the nation. The cultural segment began with a heartfelt message from Janvi, a young patriot from Class 1, setting a warm and inspiring tone for the program. This was followed by a lively talk show hosted by Shivansh Mishra, where themes of freedom and national pride were thoughtfully explored. The segment continued with energetic dance performances, a medley of patriotic songs, and a powerful theatrical presentation, all of which captivated the audience and evoked a deep sense of unity and pride. One of the highlights of the program was the Investiture Ceremony, where the newly appointed School Council was introduced. Murtaza, the Headboy, and Arushi, the Headgirl, alongside the house prefects, were officially entrusted with their duties. The ceremony emphasized the importance of leadership and responsibility among students. The Chief Guest, Mrs. S. Chandla, delivered an insightful speech that resonated with the students and staff alike. She highlighted the importance of education and the role it plays in shaping the future of the nation. The program concluded with a powerful performance titled ‘Lehra Do,’ which encapsulated the spirit of patriotism and unity. The audience, including the esteemed guests and staff, participated by waving flags, creating a visually striking and emotionally charged finale. The event was brought to a close with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Vandana Mehra, the teacher in charge. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the programme, making it a memorable celebration of India's 78th Independence Day.
