Dayanand model School,Mandir Marg celebrated its Annual Day on12-01-19 at Mavalankar Auditorium,Constitution Club.The event - Legacy of our nation,Our pride’- took the audience down the memory lane.Each performance of the cultural extravaganza reflected the rich  heritage and culture of India.The chief guest of the evening was Mr Adesh Kumar Gupta,Mayor,NorthDelhi Municipal Corporation of Delhi.The guest of honour of the evening was Mr.Ram Nath Sehgal,VicePresident,DAVCMC,The other guests included Mr.Ajay Suri,Chairman of our School,Mrs Renu Laroiya,Manager of our school.Mrs Vandana,Principal school,Mrs Ruchi Seth,Principal,CL Bhalla School.

The function commenced with lighting of lamp by the dignitaries amidst chanting of Saraswati Vandana.It was followed by welcome song by students of class III & IV.Next programme was a wonderful,synchronised Bharat natyam dance recital’ Bhoomi Mangalam’.Students of class I to VIII presented ‘Zoya’-a combination of Zumba,aerobics,yoga and skating.Students of class III to V presented the famous dance of Gujarat—Garba.

The annual report of the session 2018-19 was presented by The Principal Mrs.Sunita Arora.The Chief Guest addressed the audienceand appreciated the programme.The Manager Mrs Renu Laroiya  addressed the gathering and applauded the efforts made by the students as well as the teachers.She was highly appreciative of the steps taken by the Principal to bring all -round development in the working of the school.

The final event of the evening was a hindi Play—Kalidas.It wonderfully depicted the life and compositions of the famous poet Kalidas who was  one of the nine gems of King Vikramaditya.
