Report on Independence Day Celebration 2025
The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with pride and patriotic fervour at DAV Public School, Gole Market, on 18th August 2025. The celebration began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Shri Umesh Chandra Pradhan, Adhikari (Radio Operator), Subordinate Officer, Indian Coast Guard, in the presence of the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Renu Laroiya, Manager of the school and National Awardee and Principal Mrs. Suneeta Arora. The soulful rendering of the National Anthem filled the atmosphere with unity and reverence.
The programme featured a warm welcome, followed by the inspiring address of the Principal, Mrs. Suneeta Arora, who urged the students to uphold the values of responsibility, integrity, and dedication towards the nation. The cultural presentations by the students, centred on the theme “Honouring Freedom, Inspiring Future,” included patriotic songs, dances, and a qawalli, each performance echoing love and gratitude for the motherland. The finale, Jayatu Jayatu Bharatam, left the audience brimming with national pride.
A special highlight was the Investiture Ceremony, where the newly appointed Head Boy, Shivansh Mishra, Head Girl, Naira Singhal, and House Prefects took the Oath of Responsibility with a promise to lead with discipline and dedication.
The Guest of Honour, Mrs. Renu Laroiya, in her speech, appreciated the efforts of the school, praised the students for their creativity and discipline, and urged them to grow into responsible citizens who would carry forward the legacy of freedom.
The Chief Guest, Shri Umesh Chandra Pradhan, lauded the programme and motivated the students with his encouraging words. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Vandana Mehra, Teacher In-Charge, leaving everyone inspired to uphold the values of freedom and unity.
